Hosted by the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP), the 88th and 89th ASEAN FLAG Council Meetingswere held at Century Park Hotel, Manila, Metro Manila, on 14 August 2024 and 16 August 2024, respectively. The meetings were held in conjunction with the 17th South East Asia Survey Congress (SEASC 2024), which took place from 15 to 17 August 2024.

At the 88th ASEAN FLAG Council Meeting, after each country had nominated their candidate for the 2024–2026 AFLAG President and Senior Vice President, the meeting unanimously agreed to elect Mr. Shaharuddin bin Musa, from the Association of Authorised Land Surveyors Malaysia (PEJUTA), as President for the 2024–2026 term, and VP Leong Kin Weng, from the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV), as Senior Vice President for the same term.

At the 14th Biennial ASEAN FLAG General Meeting held on 16 August 2024, the new ASEAN FLAG Council Members for the 2024–2026 term were elected as follows:
