Hosted by the Sabah Councilors and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Sabah Branch, the 90th ASEAN FLAG Council Meeting was held at Sutera Harbour Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, on 15 October 2024. The meeting was held in conjunction with the 8th Sabah International Surveyors Congress, which took place on 16 and 17 October 2024.
The theme of the event, “AI and Land Governance,” aligned with current technological developments in the construction industry, with a particular focus on the emerging role of artificial intelligence in surveying and land governance.
The congress attracted over 300 participants from Malaysia and various ASEAN countries, including China, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, and others. The event served as a platform for participants to explore new ideas, foster collaborations, and inspire one another to push the boundaries of what is possible through the integration of AI technology in land governance.
